Study suggests, BITCOIN use causes huge CO2 emission

The use of popular virtual currency Bitcoin causes huge CO2 emission, according to a recent study conducted by the Technical University of Munich. Bitcoin mining has increased rapidly in the last couple of years, and the report says that annually Bitcoins mining causes 22 megatonnes of CO2 emission, more than the total emission of cities like Las Vegas and Vienna. The team localized 68% bitcoin computing in Asian countries.
