Surat to have 100% solar powered health centers

For the first time in India, Gujarat’s is going to have 100% solar powered primary health centres (PHCs). A total of 52 PHCs going to be completely solar powered and in this era of global warming and energy conservation, this is a great step forward. Apart from the PHCs, there are 150 solar powered villages in Surat and there are plans to make all 422 panchayats solar powered soon.
