The huge 680 metric tonne turbine, known as O2, was constructed by Orbital Marine Power and is moored in a body of water known as "the Fall of Warness." This turbine's construction began in 2019 and is based on the SR2000, the company's previous generation of big tidal turbines. The huge power generator will remain operational for the next 15 years and will be capable of powering over 2,000 UK houses annually.
