To help humans, recycling robots created to sort plastic & paper just by touch
As it was not an easy task for humans to sort plastic and paper, recycling robots have come to ease out the task. The researchers at MIT CSAIL have made a recycling robot, RoCycle, which uses the sensors in its hand to know the nature of an object and sort it accordingly. It determines how easily an object is squashed. It can also detect metal as the sensors are conductive. The refinements are still underway.
