Twitter opens up data for researchers to study coronavirus-related tweets

At a time when people all over the world are busy fighting coronavirus pandemic, social media platform, Twitter has decided to grant researchers and software developers access to a real-time data stream of tens of millions of daily public tweets about the virus, so that they can use it for tracking misinformation. Earlier Facebook had said that it collaborated with independent fact checkers to prevent the spread of misinformation.
