Israel's Defense Minister, Benny Gantz, warned France that his nation takes espionage claims about the Pegasus software built by Israeli business NSO, which is accused of targeting President Emmanuel Macron and other French leaders, "very seriously." NSO, which is frequently accused of assisting authoritarian governments, maintains that their Pegasus software is only used in principle to gather intelligence on criminal networks and terrorists.
