Amid the raging controversy over the update to WhatsApp’s privacy policy, the Indian government is reportedly examining all sides of the argument and keeping an eye on potential privacy violations occurring because of WhatsApp’s new update. As per its contentious privacy updates, WhatsApp will share user data, including location, phone number, contacts list and usage pattern, with Facebook and its group companies.
