Much has been talked about the chatbot, but not a lot about the man behind it all - Sam Altman, the co-founder of OpenAI. Altman, now 37, was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1985. He grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. At the age of eight, Altman received a Macintosh computer. Altman later told The New Yorker that the Macintosh helped him with his sexuality. He came out as gay to his parents at 16.
