WHO: World's First Malaria Vaccine to be delivered in 3 African countries

WHO said that around 360,000 children a year in 3 African countries would receive the world's 1st Malaria vaccine, as a part of a large scale pilot project. Malawi started vaccinating under 2 years of age & Kenya; Ghana will start using the vaccine soon. The vaccine offers partial protection from the disease but has the potential to save many children's lives. GSK created the vaccine 'RTS,S' also known as 'Mosquirix'.
