World's coldest town located just 800 km away from the North Pole experienced a heatwave, recording the hottest day temperatures ever. Alert, Nunavut, which is the northernmost permanently inhabited place in the world, located at the northeastern tip of Canada. Usually, it sees 5C but this time it saw 21C over the weekend.
