Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo to create cross-brand file transfer service

Xiaomi has announced an Inter-Transfer Alliance group with Oppo and Vivo to develop an AirDrop-like service for file transfer. The platform is in beta stage now and will allow devices from different manufacturers to exchange photos and documents with a swipe or click. This exchange of files won’t require a lot of battery or 4G data or a third-party app – it’s based on Bluetooth and speeds would reach up to 20 MB/s.
