Youtube and TikTok influencers can be sued for misleading their followers

It is part of the social media influencers job to flaunt a variety of brands and other things they purchase. Fans usually believe in those feedbacks. However, many influencers are lying to their followers about products and earning big bucks through the paid endorsements. Under the Consumer Protection act, 2019 users can now sue the influencers for up to Rs 10 lakh if they find the reviews misleading.
