2000 passengers onboard Mumbai-Kolhapur Mahalaxmi Expres stranded; NDRF, IAF, Navy deployed

Due to heavy rains in Mumbai, the Mahalaxmi Express was halted between Badlapur and Vangini tracks got submerged due to incessant rainfall over the past 48 hours and left 2000 passengers stranded in the middle. 8 teams of NDRF reached the spot. Indian Navy and Indian Air Force also get into action. Biscuits and water are being distributed to passengers. Three boats were also sent for relief and rescue.
