4450 Shramik Specials ferried eight lakh migrants since May 1

The Chairman of the Indian Railway Board today said that as many as 4450 Shramik Specials run since May 1 and nearly 8 lakh migrants were ferried home in the trains. The demand for the trains by the states has reduced as most of the migrants have reached home through trains, buses and other means. India’s Covid-19 tally has reached 332,424 as the country reported 11,502 new cases in the past 24 hours.
