An emergency evacuation slide from an airplane fell to the ground outside Boston, landing in a house backyard. The pilot of Delta Air Lines 405 from Paris to Boston stated hearing a loud noise as the plane lined up to reach Logan airport. A Boston suburb resident told she was standing in a neighbour's backyard on Adams Street chatting when the uninflated slide fell from the sky, which looked like a giant silver tarp.
