Carnival Cruise Line will resume operations in August despite several deaths on cruise ships during the Covid-19 pandemic and ongoing investigations into the industry’s potential role in spreading the disease. In a statement, Carnival announced eight cruise ships would restart operations from August 1, sailing from Galveston, Texas, and Miami and Port Canaveral in Florida, once a no-sail order from CDC expires.
