With an objective of reducing the time of travelling between Mumbai and Pune from 3 hours to 20 minutes, an "intent agreement" has been signed by the Virgin group with Maharashtra. The foundation stone has been laid for this first hyperloop route on Sunday evening by PM Modi and it will be linking the central Pune with the megapolis as well as the Navi Mumbai international airport.
