Cruise firm Carnival to lay off hundreds amid corona crisis

Carnival Corp., world's largest cruise company and has a major subsidiary Princess Cruises, is laying off hundreds of employees in California and other states in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. The majority of affected employees in the US will be from Florida, California and Washington state, Carnival Corp. has announced. The company is slashing 820 positions and furloughing 537 employees for up to 6 months.
