Govt estimates: About 64% flights diverted in 4 metros due to bad weather conditions

As per the estimates of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, about 64% flights were diverted from 4 metros-Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru & Chennai last year due to bad weather conditions. The worst was the Delhi airport with 213 flight diversions. A total of 796 flights were diverted from the airports of 4 metros due to various reasons, but 510 flights were diverted due to bad weather and 138 due to air traffic congestion.
