According to the National Rail plan unveiled by the Indian Railways, the administration is working on developing a long-term strategic plan to address the inadequacies of capacity constraints. The administration is working on developing 12 more bullet train corridors. A ranking system has been developed to assess the extent of demand for high-speed rail between any two city pairs. The corridors are a part of the NIP.
