Mumbai’s first AC local train flagged off

India’s first ever Air-conditioned local services flagged off in Mumbai today by Western Railway. This new local will travel between Mumbai’s Churchgate and Virar station from January 1 but initially, it will run only in the Churchgate-Borivali section. The Successful trial run of this train was conducted on Sunday. It is scheduled to have 12 services per day out of which 8 will run as fast local trains.
