Norwegian airliner claims new transatlantic record

A Norwegian budget airline has broken the world record for fastest transatlantic flight among conventional airliners. The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner departed from New York and arrived at London in 5 hours & 13 minutes. The flight, carrying 284 passengers, reached Gatwick airport 53 minutes before scheduled arrival. A British Airways Boeing 777-200 jet reportedly held the previous record of 5 hours and 16 minutes.
