Senior citizens can now fly with Air India at 50 percent less fare

State-owned national carrier Air India has announced a 50% concession on the base fare for senior citizens. The move can be seen as an attempt to attract more travellers. The scheme will be applicable to domestic flights only. Flyers above the age of 60 can avail of the scheme and the concession is available for economy class only. The scheme is only open to a senior citizen of Indian nationality, permanently residing in India.
