Tibet re-opened for tourists amid coronavirus pandemic

As several countries across the world are calling for the freedom of Tibet autonomous region, the Chinese administration that currently controls the territory has re-opened the region for tourists despite the coronavirus pandemic. The Tibet Autonomous Region witnessed 1.88 million domestic and overseas tourists on October 9. The Chinese government took the credit for re-opening the region on time.
