UAE's Etihad becomes 1st airline to operate plastic-free flight in the Kingdom

Recently, UAE's Etihad Airways has become the first ever airline in the Gulf region to operate a flight without any single-use plastics on board. The idea was to spread awareness about pollution on the occasion of Earth Day. The flight EY484 landed in Brisbane on April 22, Earth Day. Etihad has pledged to reduce the use of single-use plastic by 80% not just in flight, but also across the entire organization by end of 2022.
