As a response to India not allowing US passenger airlines and courier major Fedex's request to do self-handling at airports, the US has barred Indian carriers from performing self-ground care at American airports. Air India is the only Indian carrier that flies to the US, and it has over 30 nonstops a week. However, its ground handling there is done by local agencies. Hence, the particular order does not affect them.
