Vijay Shankar, who came up as a replacement of the injured Shikhar Dhawan, enters the record book on his World Cup debut against Pakistan. He became first Indian and 3rd bowler after Malachi Jones of Bermuda and Ian Harvey of Australia to take a wicket off his first ball in World Cup history. Imam-ul-Haq became his victim when he came to bowl Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s over after he went off the field due to hamstring niggle.
