Zhong Shanshan, a private billionaire from China, has emerged as the richest person in Asia replacing India's Mukesh Ambani. This may come as a shock to many since Shanshan is rarely seen in the media. The net worth of Zhong surged by $70.9 billion this year to $77.8 billion. He is now the 11th-richest person on the planet. A major chunk of his wealth comes from vaccine maker Beijing Wantai Biological Pharmacy Enterprise.
