While 128 Asian billionaires lost a combined $137 billion in 2018 due to Global trade tensions, Indian businessman Mukesh Ambani added $4 billion to his fortune due to the performance of his Reliance Industries Ltd. Ambani raced past Alibaba Group Holding Ltd.’s Jack Ma to become Asia's richest person. Xiaomi Corp's chairman Lei Jun and Fast Retailing Co.'s Tadashi Yanai also added billions to their wealth.
