Nirbhaya rape convict: Delhi's pollution killing us, why give a death penalty?

The Nirbhaya rape-murder case does not seem to finish at all. Amongst the four victims, one of them had asked the Supreme court to not give him a death penalty as the Delhi pollution has been killing them anyways. Akshay Singh Thakur, has seriously requested the supreme court to review the conviction in the Nirbhaya murder and rape case. Akshay was convicted in the Nirbhaya rape case along with three other men.
