After the makers mentioned the names of Javed Akhtar & Sameer on the promotional posters of 'PM Narendra Modi', both the lyricists were left confused as they aren't associated with film in any way. The makers justified by saying that they used their old songs in film. But Akhtar seemed to be unconvinced with the explanation and said he doesn't know who's Sandeep Ssingh and also the attempt seemed to be deliberate.
