EGI suspends MJ Akbar and Tarun Tejpal due to sexual misconduct allegations

After facing protests for the inclusion of sexual misconduct-accused journalist-turned-politician, MJ Akbar and former Tehelka editor, Tarun Tejpal in an updated list of members last month, the Editors Guild of India (EGI) have finally suspended both accused. Akbar had filed a defamation case against Priya Ramani, who accused him of sexual misconduct and EGI decided to suspend him till the case is concluded.
