39 women Army officers get permanent commission after moving Supreme Court

In a big win, 39 women Army officers have got Permanent Commission. The women officers got the permanent commission after winning a legal battle in the Supreme Court. As many as 71 women officers had moved the apex court after they were denied Permanent Commission. All of them had approached the top court seeking a permanent commission. The SC had directed that women officers in the Army be granted permanent commission last year.
