Historic rise in price of petrol in Delhi, crosses Rs 80

This is the first time that the prices of petrol in Delhi have crossed Rs 80-mark. On Saturday the price of petrol rose to Rs 80.38 per liter. Whereas the price of diesel rises to Rs 72.51 per liter on Saturday. In Mumbai, the petrol was at Rs 87.77 per liter and diesel was at Rs 76.98 per liter. As the prices of petrol and diesel rose by Rs 3 per/lt and Rs 4 per/lt resp. in last one month, Congress called for Bharat Bandh.
