NASA releases its biggest pile of garbage into Earth's orbit. Is that harmful?

Space agency NASA has recently unloaded its biggest load of garbage into space. The load of garbage was released from the International Space Station last weak and is said to be the largest piece of garbage to be unleashed into Earth's orbit, weighing at 2.9 tonnes. But, can garbage cause any harm to the earth? The answer is no. It will orbit Earth for at least two-four years and will burn-up in the atmosphere during re-entry.
