Respond to collegium recommendations on judge appointments: Supreme Court

The Supreme Court has asked the centre to respond to the recommendations made by the collegium with respect to the appointments of judges within a reasonable time frame. In response, the central government told the court that it will respond to the recommendations within the timeline fixed in the Memorandum of Procedure. Attorney General KK Venugopal said that the centre will take a decision over 10 pending names within 3 months.
