Shirtless advocate attends online hearing, Judges call the action unpardonable

A Supreme Court bench headed by Justice DY Chandrachud was sent to a state of shock after an advocate appeared shirtless for a video conference hearing of the Sudarshan TV case on Monday. While Justice Chandrachud expressed his reservations over the incident, Justice Indu Malhotra called the action ‘unpardonable’. The court adjourned the matter while maintaining that lawyers must appear in proper uniform.
