Supreme Court asks IIT Bombay to regularise student's admission who lost seat by mistake

A Supreme Court bench of Justices Sanjay Kishan Kaul, Dinesh Maheshwari and Hrishikesh Roy granted relief to 18-year old Siddhant Batra, who lost his IIT-Bombay seat after he mistakenly clicked the ‘withdraw’ link. The apex court directed the institution to regularise Batra’s admission even as it had admitted students to its capacity. Batra got 270th rank in the All India Joint Engineering Entrance 2020.
