PM Narendra Modi returned to power with a mandate bigger than its 2014 tally. BJP won 303 seats, 21 more than ts 2014 election tally while Congress managed better from 44 to 52 but still remains far from claiming the post of leader of the opposition. BJP has the 1st back-to-back majority in the lower house of parliament for a single party since 1984. Modi will meet his ministers to form a new cabinet.
