Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga ahead of the first in-person Quad meeting. The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to a free, open and inclusive Indo-Pacific region. They discussed the recent global developments during the meet. "Both leaders held discussions on several issues including ways to give further impetus to trade and cultural ties," the Ministry of External Affairs said.
