Bolstering India’s rise to counter China is the new secret strategy of United States to keep its dominance in the Indo-Pacific region intact. The strategy for the Indo-Pacific framed in 2018 focuses on working with other like-minded countries to act as “a counterbalance to China”. The strategy also focuses on helping India in countering challenges from Beijing such as “border provocations”. US sees China as a strategic competitor.
