US removes India from list of giving trade preferences

Though the US strongly desired to work with the newly-elected PM Narendra Modi, a US official on Thursday that they are done with giving India preference in trade. In March, the administration of Trump said that they are removing India from the Generalized System of Preferences, which gives desirable access to goods from developing nations. The official said that they now have to look at how they can work further with India.
