Kerala and its connection with the Islamic State is deepening as in yet another instance, operatives of IS from Kerala got killed in the prison attack in Afghanistan. Among the killed terrorists was Dr. Ijas Kallukettiya Purayil, the Islamic State operative from Kerala who was included in the National Investigation Agency’s (NIA) “most wanted” list. 2 other terrorists from Kerala were killed in the attack.
