Forty people, including nine soldiers, have been killed in a spate of attacks in central Mali. Inter-ethnic violence was the key reason behind most of the killings. Thirty-one people were killed in an attack overnight in Ogossagou, a village mainly inhabited by Fulani. About 30 gunmen carried out the new attack and set the huts and crops of the villagers ablaze. Dogon hunters' group has been accused of the attack.
