8 years old rape case solved with India’s first criminal DNA databank

An 8 years old rape and murder case have been successfully solved by the Navi Mumbai Police with the help of India's first criminal DNA databank. Rehan Qureshi was arrested by the police as he was found guilty in the rape and murder of 2 minor girls, aged 5 and 7. A senior police officer gave the information and also said that a press conference will be held for this. The databank has a record of more than 3000 persons.
