From October 2 rape victims to get Rs 4 lakh, SC orders

SC across the country has ordered to give rape victims at least Rs 4 lakh and in case of gang rape Rs 5 lakh compensation and a maximum of Rs 10 lakh. In case of acid attacks, Rs 7 lakh will be given. It has asked the states to start this from October 2. As the Center has not framed any rules in case of minor rape survivors the NALSA said that the same will be applicable for them till the rules are framed for them as well.
