Arrest of Qasim Khorasani helps security forces unearth presence of Islamic State in Jammu and Kashmir

On July 11, Indian agencies nabbed Umar Nisar Bhat and two others, unearthing a direct footprint of the presence of the Islamic State in Jammu and Kashmir. The National Intelligence Agency had earlier confirmed the arrest of Nisar aka Qasim Khorasani, along with his associates Tanveer Ahmad Bhat and Rameez Ahmad Lone. Khorasani and his associates were trying to recruit youths from India into ISIS to wage ‘jihad’.
