Crime rate in Delhi increased by 275% from 2013: CAG report

The Comptroller and Auditor General’s (CAG) report on manpower and logistics management in Delhi Police has revealed that the incident of crime in Delhi increased by 275% in 2019 compared to 2013. The report tabled in Parliament on Wednesday has revealed that the police force faces an “acute shortage” of manpower. This has led to the police force officials working for 12 to 15 hours against the prescribed eight hours.
