Curative plea of Nirbhaya gangrape convict Pawan Gupta rejected by SC a day before scheduled hanging

A five-judge bench of the Supreme Court today rejected the curative petition filed by the 2012 Delhi gang-rape murder convict Pawan Kumar Gupta. Pawan, 25, against whom the death warrant was issued for execution on March 3 along with the three other, had claimed juvenility to seek commutation of sentence to life imprisonment. He is the last death row convict in the case to have moved the SC with his curative plea.
