Ex-IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt sentenced with life imprisonment in 1990 custodial death

On Thursday a Gujarat court in its verdict has sentenced the ex-IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt to life imprisonment in a custodial death case that happened in 1990. Bhatt has been charged under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code which deals with punishment for murder. Pravinsinh Jhala has also been booked under Section 302 while others have been booked for torturing. All of them have been booked for killing Prabhudas Madhavji.
